Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Carrrs services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Eligibility Requirements

To rent a vehicle from Carrrs, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Age: Minimum 21 years old. Drivers aged 21-24 are subject to a young driver surcharge ($25/day). Luxury and sports vehicles require drivers to be 25+.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license held for at least 1 year. International renters must provide an International Driving Permit (IDP) along with their home country license.
  • Payment Method: Valid credit card in the renter's name for payment and security deposit.
  • Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years. We reserve the right to deny rental based on driving history.

Additional Drivers: Must meet all eligibility requirements and be present at pickup with valid documentation. Additional driver fee: $10/day.

Booking & Reservations

When you make a reservation with Carrrs:

  • Reservations are confirmed upon successful payment
  • You will receive a confirmation email with booking details
  • Reservations are for a specific vehicle class, not a specific vehicle
  • We reserve the right to provide an upgrade at no additional charge if your requested vehicle is unavailable
  • Pickup and return times must be adhered to as specified in your reservation

Present the following at pickup: confirmation email, valid driver's license, credit card used for booking, and any additional required documentation.

Payment Terms

  • Rental Charges: Full rental amount is charged at the time of booking
  • Security Deposit: A hold of $200-$500 (depending on vehicle class) will be placed on your credit card at pickup and released within 3-5 business days after return
  • Additional Charges: You are responsible for fuel, tolls, parking tickets, traffic violations, and any fees incurred during your rental
  • Accepted Payment: We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover credit cards

Important: Debit cards are accepted at select locations with additional verification. Cash and prepaid cards are not accepted.

Vehicle Use

As the renter, you agree to:

  • Operate the vehicle safely and in compliance with all traffic laws
  • Return the vehicle in the same condition as received (normal wear excepted)
  • Return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel (or pay refueling charges)
  • Keep the vehicle locked and secure when unattended
  • Not modify the vehicle in any way
  • Report any mechanical issues or warning lights immediately
  • Use child safety seats as required by law

Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of rental and forfeiture of deposit:

  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Using the vehicle for racing, speed testing, or stunt driving
  • Off-road driving or driving on unpaved surfaces
  • Transporting more passengers than seatbelts available
  • Using the vehicle for commercial purposes (rideshare, delivery, etc.)
  • Smoking or vaping inside the vehicle ($250 cleaning fee applies)
  • Transporting pets without prior approval ($100 fee if approved)
  • Subletting or transferring the vehicle to unauthorized drivers
  • Leaving the United States without prior written approval
  • Towing another vehicle or trailer

Insurance & Liability

All rentals include one of our protection plans:

  • Basic ($15/day): Third-party liability up to $15,000
  • Premium ($29/day): Collision coverage up to $50,000, includes roadside assistance
  • Full ($45/day): Comprehensive coverage including theft, zero deductible, personal belongings up to $2,000

Damage & Accidents

In the event of an accident or damage:

  • Ensure safety of all parties and call emergency services if needed (911)
  • Report the incident to Carrrs immediately: 1-800-555-1234
  • Obtain a police report if applicable
  • Do not admit fault to other parties
  • Document the scene with photos
  • Complete our incident report form within 24 hours

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • 24+ hours before pickup: Full refund
  • 12-24 hours before pickup: 50% refund
  • Less than 12 hours before pickup: No refund (can reschedule within 30 days)
  • No-show: Full charge, no refund

To cancel or modify your reservation, log into your account or contact our support team.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from your use of Carrrs services shall be resolved as follows:

  • First, contact our customer support team to attempt informal resolution
  • If unresolved, disputes will be settled through binding arbitration in San Francisco, California
  • You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or class action lawsuit
  • These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California
